Mopo’Boys and Mo’

When you come into this wooden structure a cloud of steam unfurls from the kitchen. It is rich with the smell of shellfish and spices. A stage overflows with musicians playing horns and tamed violawinders. This place is always a party, no matter how late at night or middle of day it happens to be. And the life of the party is most often Mnuxim Mopo himself! Rushing from table to table seemingly passing through the interceding wood and offering people shots, small plates of crustaceans, and over the top life advice.   In addition to an incredible jambalaya, the dire shrimp po’boys that give the place its name are definitely the best in the Basin. But for good friends of the proprietor he’ll often make Dire Shrimp Cocktails available.

Mopo'Boys and Menu

The paper these are printed on is thick, and the lettering has a silver gilding to it that makes them feel valuable. Its only a few pages long, and has a nice ribbon bookmark to help you find your ideal meal.

Grandma's Creole Jambalaya

Potion

Uncommon

This filling dish made with rice, river crawfish, dire shrimp legs bubbles red on the fire. It looks like a celebration as it is scooped out into a bowl and served alongside a toasted and thick bread. The smell immediately opens sinuses and the spice burns your eyes just from standing too close to the steam.

Consuming Creole Jambalaya causes you to reduce your base speed (and all other speeds) by 10ft. But you have advantage on Performance checks and Constitution saves. This lasts for 1 hour.

Cost: 35 gp
Weight: 1 lb

Dire Shrimp Cocktail

Wondrous Item

Uncommon

This cocktail of dire shrimp has been preserved so that it is always ready to be displayed and tasted. It never spoils, but when eaten it heals 2d4+2 hit points. Until it is consumed you can use a bonus action to brandish your fancy cocktail and people will be slightly mesmerized by your fantastic and awesome mantis shrimp cocktail.

When you make an Animal Handling or Persuasion check while brandishing the cocktail you can roll a d4 and add the number rolled to the check. Once you use this property, it can't be used again until the next dawn.
However, if you brandish the shrimp cocktail to commoners, anyone who dislikes the wealthy, or a herbivore, it will instead impose that d4 as a penalty to the check.

Cost: 130gp
Weight: 0.2 lbs

Thieves’ Cant Spoken Here

If you are someone proficient with Theives’ Cant then you would know a little better how to navigate this place. You can make a DC 13 Persuasion check to pass a vibe check and gain access to a secret menu or special access unique to the establishment you are visiting.

If you make a DC 18 Persuasion check you can request asylum. They may not be willing to protect you, but they may be willing to let you slip out the back or give an otherwise helpful tidbit of information to keep you a step ahead of your troubles.
