Situated on the southeastern foothills of the Sunset Mountains, overlooking the chaotic expanse of The Grip of Sarvan, lies the ancient city of Sireneon. Sireneon was established during the First Era of Man when the original humans ruled Teralt and Andromeda was whole. The city's location was chosen for its strategic vantage point and natural defenses provided by the terrain. For even in these peaceful, nigh paradisiacal days, conflicts occurred. Sireneon's architecture is a testament to its age, with the cityscape dominated by towering structures built from local stone, accented with wood from the trees of the nearby Heartwood Forest. Intricate carvings adorn the city's buildings, telling tales of the Ancients, the First Era of Man, and the coming of the Traveling Parent, imbuing the city with a sense of history that seeps from its very stones.
Inhabitants of Sireneon have long forgotten the truths known in the older days. They try to live largely as their ancestors did, without the significant influence of Imustones or the Ancient Elixir that vastly changed the whole of Teralt. As such, the city stands as a mostly unaltered piece of history, a snapshot of a time before the world was reshaped by the profound impact of Ancients, Imustones, and the monsters created by the Traveling Parent. However, the city is not completely detached from the supermagical elements of Teralt. Selected individuals known as Lore Keepers study the ancient scripts and artifacts, seeking knowledge about the world's mysterious past. These scholars are the living connection between the city's historical foundations and the mystical realities of Teralt.
Living in Sireneon is a unique experience. The city's location close to the Grip of Sarvan offers its inhabitants both awe-inspiring views and a constant reminder of the paradoxical nature of their world. The city's folk have learned to be vigilant, their lives etched with the resilience necessary to live at the edge of the known and the unknown.
