1st Dragon War

The Conflict

Prelude

Th first Dragon Wars were started by George Bessinger in an attempt to expand the realms of the Republic of the Valley. His vision was for a series of cities to the west bringing in new wealth to the city of Stockzign.

Deployment

The Republic Forces

The armies of the Republic deployed a series of small forts and spear infantry along the western fringes of Stockzign. They also had a set of expert infantry sneak through the Unwelcome Hills and make thier way to the fields of Lenstad.

The Draconic Forces

The armies of the The Draconian Empire were embroiled with internal struggles between the houses and were not fully prepared for the attack from the east. Thier main deployments were the Silver and Gold Forces at the great Gold House. A series of mercenary kobolds were also hired from the Crossroads.

Halfings friendly with the The Draconian Empirecame out from the Halfmen Hills and joined the forces near the Crossroads.

The Northern Houses didn't have much of a major standing army, embroiled in a great struggle for control of the streets of Lenstad. Later during the war the Red House, led by Nidaloi helped unify the Northern Forces but it was too late to prevent the southern conquests

Outcome

• Foundation of Bessinville
• The soldification of control over the Unwelcome Hills and the Northern Coasts of the Continent

Aftermath

The attack on the dragonborn of the west solidified a hatred between the two peoples. This also was one of the major factors in the Alliance between the Easterlings and the The Draconian Empire

• The Northern Raids: Major setback for the forces stationed at Lenstad but ultimately a loss for the Republic
• The Battle of the Lower Lip: Victory for Rpeublic
• Siege of Barrowhome: considered Republic victory due to the end of the war before the end of the siege.
• The Second Battle of the Wastes: Major Republic Victory, although a major hero of the republic, Ishendar was struck down
