Leader of the Wildwood Rangers, Mase appears to be a creature of strength and destruction, but when with his wife and child, is the kindest, most gentle father and husband. Loud and prone to drinking, he has returned from more journeys into the Wildwood than any other person, and speaks little of his experiences to anyone who has not experienced the brutality of the woods.
