The Island

A large island, about 3 days journey in any direction to cross through the thick Wildwood, a dense forested area full of dangerous animals and sometimes carnivorous plant life. Dotted with multiple caves and caverns around its central mountain, it features a moderate, temperate climate year round although to the north, it becomes much colder. Ruins of an ancient civilization dot the island and signs of catastrophe scar the land. Around it sits about a mile of open water, and then an impenetrable mist which seems to pull in anyone who touches it, from which no one who enters returns.
