Arvan is a Vistani man who left Old Barovia many years ago to join the organisation known as the Unchained.

Body Features
Arvan has two full sleeves of intricate tattoos as well as tattoos going down his back and front, matching those of his husband Stefan. They are a collection of tattoos from each different realm they have travelled to together in their unity. Arvan's tattoos are mostly black, with the secondary colouration being grey.
Apparel & Accessories
Arvan wears a grey hooded cloak over his Vistani padded leather armour. He wears an enchanted headscarf that improves his tracking ability, and wears boots of speed.

Personal history
The quiet seclusion of his extended hermitage gave Arvan access to a unique and powerful discovery. As a Vistani, travelling between planes at will, he discovered the existence of the Unchained, and the guardian angel Amaryllis imparted upon him great truths of the cosmos and a new sense of objectivity and law.
Mental Trauma
Arvan had always wished that his childhood sweetheart, Stefan, had come with him to pursue his destiny. He also harbours dark, bloodthirsty thoughts that his isolation and meditation failed to quell. He'd risk too much to uncover a lost bit of knowledge.

Arvan believes that emotions must not cloud our sense of what is right and true, or our logical thinking. He believes that solitude and contemplation are paths toward mystical or magical power.
