Deep Dragon

Deep dragons, also called purple dragons, are a type of chromatic dragon that hail from the Underdark. Despite their large size, deep dragons are slender and agile, allowing them to crawl through the tunnels of the Underdark. In the light, the dragons' scales are the colour of amethyst, but in the dark, they appear nearly black. Purple dragons inhabit the Underdark and are rarely known on the surface. They also inhabit the abyssal realm of Darkon. A deep dragon's breath weapon is psychic and causes the target to be dazed or dominated, depending on the strength of the wyrm.
