Empire of Moorgate vs. Heflen

The Conflict

Prelude

Not liking the influx of Moorgatian adventures near their lands, Heflen decided to take many of them prisoner. The Council attempted to make an agreement, but the Queen of Heflen refused to be agreeable. As it was their only option, the Council declared war. After the war had begun, it was revealed that their was a group of agents from Heflen looking for a young woman. That young woman would be Runa Ragnadottir, the true heir of the Heflen Throne.

Aftermath

The captive adventurers were released and the deserts of Igia have become free once again.   For Heflen: The strength of the country has bloomed even within a year after the war from the continued influx of adventurers. Varies magic items have flown about and have landed in the hands of the kingdom. Some kept for safekeeping, others used to protect the country.   For Moorgate: A seeming lack of care for the general populous of the country has left some with a hatred of the council. This has caused the sparks of rebellion of flare up. This compounded with the sour thoughts towards the long-held titles by the council.

Belligerents

Strength

The larger size of the Empire combined with the larger number of mages, keeps their fighting forces higher and the casualties low. The both the physical and magical strength and the cunning of the Council and The Nameless Hero easily gave the armies of Moorgate the advantage over the strategies of Heflen.
Being a more desert-based, even with its smaller size, Heflen has the edge on a majority of the no-mans land.

Casualties

Objectives

Rescue the prisoners and establish peace between the Empire and Heflen. The Wanderer's main goal was to protect Runa Ragnadottir.
Make the Empire of Moorgate back down and to claim the desert of Igia as purely Heflen territory, as well as capture Runa Ragnadottir and try her as a pretender to the throne.
