Argis Jorg {Argis Orison}
To those close enough, they are sometimes known as Old Man Orison, or to the public, the knight Orison. A well-known figurehead within his many years for having a will of steel and standing up for racial equality, no matter the species.
Having lost many in his life, he has learned to cope with the loss and treasure his memories of his dead family. Now, he's simply the kind old grandpa everyone loves
Even in Ferrus he is decently well known. The knight Jorg was not originally named that, but rather of the family name Orison. He fought with his Lord in many a different battle, and was even there for the Defense of the Steel Gate, where the noble he served fell. They have been well known as a rights activist, with the motto "If they can be enslaved alongside humans, then they have the same rights as them."
There are many a different story about the man, to the point that you could write a book of short stories, but the tale behind the name change is one of the most popular.
During the earlier days of his youth, there had been a discovered area, ripe with orc tribes. And with such plentiful people, a mass movement of slaves hit Blackton. With how over half of Blackton's population are visitors, they had the traditional view of orcs as simple brutes and raiders. This caused many an atrocity against their kin in bondage.
As the popularity of such a thing grew, it started to effect even the original residents as well. As racism against them rose, even half-orcs were spat upon, and those keeping the names of their ancestors were refused jobs and started to be cast out into the slums. Before this could turn into a brutal cycle of stealing and murder that reinforces the stereotype, Argis made a public announcement that he would change his name, a name which had been passed down since the time of the war against the Lich, in public. The event drew many, and the legal proceedings that took place changed his family name to the orcish name of Burog to show who he sided with. Since then, once every year, he changes his last name to a different orcish name in support of the species, and the awareness has by far improved their standing in Blackton.
Though he has much willpower, and skill with the blade, in the end he is a normal human, and not supernaturally tough in any way. This allows him to be an excellent connection piece to the common folk.
