King Endo, was the last ruler of the kingdom of [Old] Ferrus. Born a slave and sold to nomads in the northern deserts, it was soon apparent to his owners that he was no ordinary child. He demonstrated preternatural reflexes and a cunning mind, as well as what seemed to be limitless physical strength. He won his freedom in the fighting pits at sixteen, defeating a veteran Goliath Barbarian by throttling him in a death hold that would become famous in his later exploits.

After winning his freedom, he met his oldest friend Zook Ningle, a young gnome who was obsessed with technology as well as the finer things in life. Together, they began a small thieving ring, which pilfered rare trinkets and artifacts which they would then sell to the highest bidder. On a fateful heist, Endo came across the famed Decadron Amulet, which he pocketed, not knowing its true value. It was only when the amulet activated during a later escape that the Endo would realize its true power.
