Session 2
General Summary
Overview:
Two weeks after Bethauna declared war on the region of Vei’on, Grayzag summoned the players to his tower for a mission. Grayzag explained that Bethauna possesses a much larger army than Vei’on, meaning Vei’on should look for allies in other nations to help fight against Bethauna. He suggests the party travels to the island known as The Dominion of Jarl, and notes that he has old friends that lives there. The party accepts the mission, with the stipulation that Grayag rewards them with a magical item from his tower afterwards.Notable things that happened:
- The party travelled to the fishing hamlet known as Luxen in an attempt to find a ship that can take them to the Dominion of Jarl.
- On the way to Luxen, the party spotted a mysterious skeleton carriage but chose to ignore it.
- When the party arrived at Luxen, they went straight for the local shipyard to find a captain. Unfortunately, none of the captains were willing to sail to the Dominion of Jarl because they feared the local dragon would attack the ship on open waters.
- The party eventually found a ship captain named Anne Bonney that offered to take the party to the Dominion of Jarl for free if they slayed the local dragon. The party accepted this deal.
- The party travelled to Luxen's town hall to find information on recent dragon sightings. Here, they learnt that the dragon had recently landed in a local farmers field and that there is another party hunting the dragon.
- The party decided to investigate the farm where the dragon recently landed. When they arrived at the farm, they found the owner fighting off some goblins. The party chose to help the farmer and, after defeating the goblins, learnt that the dragon damaged his property fence which led to goblins wandering onto his land.
- The party learns that the farmer's name is Miles McDavis and that he was coincidentally also the performer they met in session 0.5. The party then attempted to rally Miles into joining them on their adventure to slay the dragon. Miles, who wanted revenge for his fence, agreed with the group and joined the party for the rest of the session.
- The party followed a trail of destruction left by the dragon into the mountains. Soon, they found an abandoned outpost in the snowy mountain tops and noticed the dragon sleeping on its roof. This led the party to enter the outpost
- Shortly after entering the outpost, the party encountered another band of adventurers with a dying member. The party cautiously helped save the dying warrior. In return the band of adventurers thanked the party and warned them of “blood sucking monsters ahead”. The band of adventurers then told the party to look them up if they are ever in Morah and gave the party a small sigil with a wolf emblem on it before leaving the outpost.
- The party ventured further into the outpost and defeated the “blood sucking monsters”, which were actually stirges'.
- After investigating a strange looking sword on a wall, the party discovered a secret staircase leading down. Despite feeling an immense amount of magical pressure coming from the staircase, the party followed it and found themselves in front of a door. The door had infernal text on it reading "Who is the god of earth, mother of life, and bringer of power?”. The party surmised that the door was referring to the God Deora, and upon saying her name the it opened.
- After opening the door, the party found themselves in a strange vault with a treasure chest. After examining the chest, the party found a note with detailed instructions on how to brew a specific potion. The party then solved various puzzles around the room in order to find the potion ingredients. After finding the ingredients and mixing the potion, the party dumped it on the chest and were shocked to see it transform into a beast of darkness that proceeded to eat them. The party seemingly died, but soon found themselves walking back into the vault as if nothing had happened. Everything was back to the way it was before the party entered the vault other than the chest, which was once a rickety wooden thing, was now made of bright marble and filled with various items. One of the items was a strange glass orb with a mysterious symbol etched onto it. This orb was seemingly the source of the immense magical pressure so Immeral Naïlo the party chose to take it with him.
- After clearing out the vault, the party made their way to the outpost’s roof and confronted the dragon. After some attempts to train the dragon, the party decided the beast was too feral to be tamed so they slayed the beast.
- The party brought proof that the dragon had been slain, so Anne Bonney began preparing her ship for a trip to the Dominion of Jarl.
Rewards Granted
- After slaying the local dragon, Luxen's mayor awarded the party with 50 GP as a reward. For the same reason, Anne Bonney provided the party with a free ship ride the the Dominion of Jarl.
- In a hidden treasure chamber, the party found a mysterious, orb shaped artifact that emits a mysterious magical energy.

- In Luxen, the party met a ship captain named Anne Bonney. Bonney promised the party a free ride to the Dominion of Jarl if they could slay a local dragon.
- The party was reunited with Miles McDavis when they discovered his farm had been attacked by the dragon. After some persuasion, Miles ended up joining the party for the rest of the session.
