Overview

John Flamsteed, known as the first Royal Astronomer of a country called England, is currently in Atlantis - but his exact whereabouts is unknown.

Mr Flamsteed was a leading astronomer until he was taken in a Chronic Anachonism to the Observatory of the Alamut Citadel, wherein he fell into the hands of the Assassin's Guild. He provided the Guild with extensive knowledge of astronomical alignments and effectively showed them how the alignments matched up with the Alamut transportations that take place on occasion. The assassins have since worked out how to use this to their own advantage in missions and in hiding. 

In the meantime, Flamsteed has converted some of the adherents to his own world-view and the Flaming Steed, or Nightmare Assassins are at his command. They do not commit assassinations in the classical sense of the word but rather are rumored to have the ability to cause their targets to commit suicide. (Or so they say)
