Knights of the Band
Overview
The Knights of the Band wear a red sash to denote their membership.This Cadiz Based Order is expressly forbidden from playing cards. It is said that this is due to cards being linked to the Thieves Guilds of the area.
The Cadizian Order of the Band was founded in 332, when King Gadieros heard of a legend that he would gain future favor in the eyes of his father after ordering some of the knights and squires of his retinue to dress, like him,namely in white cloth with the band "that he had given them".
A few years before that, in 324, it's written that a knight was rewarded for his participation in the defense of Cadiz; he was specifically awarded the right to bear ornaments of gold and silver, as he was a knight of the band of gold.
Heraldic Symbol
Gules, a bend or engouled into dragantes (dragon or wolf's heads). Before, the bend and the dragon's heads were different colours.
The Draconian Order of the Band
Where the Order of the Band member gains entrance into the Draconian Order, or vice versa, the Knight may wear a band with arrows set as a flourish around the band. This is often assumed by Elven entrants into the Order.
