Background

In the shadows of Terralia, a group known as the Bleeding Hand Clan work with precision and an air of mystery. Many whisper stories of the Bleeding Hand Clan, and comment on their lethality, but this isn't a small group of murderers, this is a network of assassins with a variety of skills, backgrounds and motives, who operate and stretch all over the lands.
The Bleeding Hand Clan pride themselves on their ability to operate in plain sight, seamlessly blending into the crowd and leaving no trace of their dark deeds. From the dimly lit alleyways to the bustling marketplaces, the members of this elusive guild move like phantoms, their identities shrouded in secrecy. The common folk of Terralia, unaware of their existence, dismiss the notion of the group as mere legend.
Most members are followers of the Xion, Bhaal, and spread death in his name. It is not common knowledge on how The Bleeding Hand Clan are contacted, but it is believed through ritual, or through messengers of Bhaal.
The mysterious demise of High Commander of the Realm Atticus Reed, the former leader of the Helm's Bulwark was attributed by high councillors and other notable leaders within Terralia to the Bleeding Hand Clan, but there was no proof of this and to common folk, he apparently died of old age. The Helm's Bulwark, once a seemingly impenatrable force, had, according to these individuals, fell victim to the unseen motives of The Bleeding Hand Clan.
