Background
Once a skilled rogue, Kasper led a shadowy existence in the underbelly of society. Growing up in the poverty stricken town of Shadow's End, he quickly learned to fend for himself and survive by any means necessary. His nimble fingers and cunning mind made him a standout among the local thieves' community.
One fateful night, in 802, while attempting to plunder the depths of an ancient dungeon rumored to hold quite a plunder, Kasper's life took a dark turn. As he delved deeper into the labyrinthine passages, a sudden ambush by a pack of giant rats caught him off guard. In the chaos, one of the cursed creatures sank its teeth into Kasper's flesh, infecting him with the lycanthropic curse.
Transformed into a Were-rat, Roderick struggled to reconcile his human nature with the primal instincts that now coursed through his veins. Unable to return to his former life, he sought refuge with an understanding group known as the The Shadow Rats. This organization, comprised of individuals cursed with similar afflictions, embraced their newfound powers and used them to execute daring heists under the cover of darkness.
Kasper thrived within the Shadow Rats, honing his abilities and becoming an integral member of the group. Together, they orchestrated countless successful thefts, accumulating wealth and influence. However, their luck took a turn for the worse when he was tasked with targeting the community of Worker's Rest. Unbeknownst to Kasper, a famed Were-rat hunter known as Bjorna Blackblade was residing at this community, who would be eager to rid of this vermin swiftly.
As Kasper infiltrated the community to execute their most ambitious heist yet, a group of seasoned adventurers were tasked with clearing a pack of giant rats from a store room. The party confronted the Kasper in a climactic battle that echoed through the store room basement. Despite Kasper's cunning and best efforts, the adventurers prevailed, bringing an end to this Were-rat's criminal exploits.
In the aftermath of the confrontation, Kasper lay defeated, his once-sharp eyes now dull and lifeless. The short lived legacy of a rogue turned Were-rat had come to a close.
