Great Library of Kriton
The Great Library of Kriton is the public library located at the edge of downtown Knirk.
It's built in 746 BVE as part of a research institution, to bring the vision of the emperor at the time to establish the center of learning for the citizens across the Empire of Kritus, now belong to the Valonia Empire.
Designed to be large and elegant, it places thousands of scrolls and books full of knowledge collected since the early day, as well as historical artifacts. Many influential scholars worked at the library, creating many technological advancements to the empire.
After the fall of an empire in 1 VE, the library survived the city's occupation caused by the Valonian Empire and still holds its purpose and much more knowledge has been added every year. It's twice bigger than Valonian's Institute of Knowledge.
Sensory & Appearance
Plenty of books can be found on the main hall in the middle of the building. It's so big it can echo any sound in the room which has been reduced by rows of windows.
Contents & Furnishings
Books and Scrolls are shalved on rows of bookshalves extanding across the room. They're categorized into various topics such as science, mathematic, engineering, litrerature, and news. They're usually be written by scholar working here, both local and foreigner. The notable knowledge being stored here such as the Ohuna's Iron Limbs
The categorization is being done by the librarian who can find any scrolls for anyone in need.
The Wall of Doubt
At the end of the room, a torn parchment is attached to the wall. It contains an unknown language that ever the best scholar can't decrypted. It's blieved to be a lost treasure, but no one can prove this as well. The only thing they known is that it'd been partly stolen in 400 BVE during the trial of the former librarian Valolus Rarmon, along with some of the knowledge scrolls his group brought before the banishment.
With its gigantic size, it catch anyone's eye, letting them interest in learning its mystery.
Architecture
The library has a single 2-storeys height and 300m long. The entire structure is made of marbles, with roman architecture, and red gable roof.
