Valonian Obsession
In Valone, marble is one of the most popular construction material, followered by Granites and Clays. It usually be used in official buildings, religious landmarks, and even some luxury houses.
It comes from the quarry on the mountainside in Sarton region, just across the Dirwen River. The stonecutter will marked, craved, and cut with various type of iron tools to quarry a large chuck of roughly cut marble brick, before moving down to the craving station where workers percisely crave and polish it into a smaller block for sculptures, or the large brick but smoother, readying to be placed on the next monuments. These blocks will be tansported via ships sailing out to the ocean, although caraven is prefered.
