The Shadowlord
The Shadowlord is the villain of the modern history of Terraneus, though few know much about him beyond his reign. Despite having only been killed less than two decades ago, his name has been destroyed, his person removed from all records. All anyone knows of him is that he is the Shadowlord, who thought to challenge the Empress in power and whose rule still casts scars on those who endured it.

The Shadowlord created an empire of powerful sorcerers and cruel-hearted warriors built on the backs of the broken slaves of the conquered. He at one time was powerful enough to threaten all the Roselander Coast, to the point where the Queen of Rose was, in all effects, his vassal, and dominated half of the Great Scar, threatening Tagos itself. He even, to a point, had been in a position where he could have taken the Gold Coast.
Had not the Empress and her Iron Legions been there to destroy his kingdom.
