The party found themselves back in Vexlorn after their expedition into the Gralheim Wood to find the
The Pale Lady . While the trip back only took a few hours, the three felt as if the journey took weeks, and all three seemed to have suffered some temporary "amnesia". Regardless, the endeavor made them feel stronger, like they have moved to a higher level or something.
After full nights rest, they were awoken by a thunderstorm, and met up downstairs to strategize their day. They decided to follow through on the plan concocted with
Kerelei and use subterfuge to apprehend Neegan. They headed over the one of the brothels; Sune's Saloon to purchase the talents of a couple of local contractors. They found five volunteers who seemed quite excited for the adventure. The troop headed out and over to Neegans shoppe.
The courtesans provided the intended distraction, leading to guards off for some secluded indulging. The group rushed in only to find Neegan gone; along with a note containing a location in the city. The group immediately headed over the address provided, which lead them to a basement unit. Inside they found a bound and bloody Neegan, Kerelei obviously had been pulling information from him. They learned Desmond had left for Pruessmount. Kerelei left Neegan to Dirt, but Dirt had everything he wanted already and was done. Kerelei tried to leave, but Dirt stopped her. He was able to sus out she meant to leave the other three behind, and was in a hurry. She said; I need to leave, followed by its too late. The basement was soon full of smoke, and deadly enemies.
After a short scuffle, two of the three enemies lay dead, with the last one having fled into the unknown. Kerelei had also disappeared; while Neegan sat dead. Fearing the incident might have raised the city guards alarm, the three left the basement. But not before Sandro found the Shinobi's that attacked them had a word tattooed upon their neck:
Jade Hand .
Not wanting to be deadbeat customers, the group went back to Sune's Saloon to pay the courtesan's their due. Surprisingly, they met only the Redheaded leader; who thanked the group for a fun day. After a suspicious "you are welcome" and a wink to Sandro; she melted into a black goo; which burned away and left behind an all-too-familar scent of ash and sulpher.
Left dumbfounded by what had transpired this day, the group wandered back into the streets of Vexlorn. As they did a familar voice range out;
Isabeau Forrester who stumbled towards them in a rush.... much to Sandro's chagrin.
