Demography and Population
In the Gupta Empire, the heritage majority is humans, with the second highest being githyanki and githzerai, both of which arrived in Bharat some 800 years ago. In the western steppe and desert area, fire genasi, earth genasi, and desert harengon live in trade towns along the Silk Road that leads west out of the country. In the north, yak minotaur, snow leopard tabaxi, and humans live in small mountain communities. In the east, the trade port of Kolkata in the swampy Ganges River delta is a major center for international trade with both the east and west.
