The current maharaja of the Gupta Empire, he a human man who inherited his throne at the age of 19 and has ruled for 20 years so far. He is a taciturn and stoic ruler who thinks carefully before making a decision and never acts out of anger or spite (a welcome change from that of his choleric father, Chandragupta II).
