Hunting
Though Hunting in Eisen is still common among the lower classes as a means of food, lands that can provide good hunting have become regulated by Park Services. The Eisen National Park Services regulate hunting permits on all nationally owned land, and some privately owned lands that have been opened to the public. The rules concerning what can be hunted and how many can be hunted are strictly enforced, and come with heavy penalties for those that ignore these regulations.
Social Hunting is popular among both the upper and middle class, but the distinction tends to be how they are conducted.
For the middle class, the majority of the hunting is small groups of friends, sometimes with a Huntmaster to lead them, and tend to be simpler excursions. They will occasionally have a picnic in which the family members not involved with the hunt will join them in the afternoon.
Among the upper class, hunting is generally a much grander affair. Entire families and servants will travel to a base camp near where the hunting is to happen. Tents and pavilions are set up with chairs, tables, and sometimes full portable kitchens. It is common for there to be a Huntmaster and several assistant hunters to guide the guests wishing to hunt. Well-to-do Hosts will arrange games, performances, and other activities for those not taking part in the hunting.
Participants
There is no specific guild associated with Hunting, but several guilds do regularly provide services for upper class hunts. Members of The Circle of Grace are oftentimes hired to be on hand in case of accidents. Rangers and other adventures skilled in Tracking are often hired from The Grand Society of Adventurers and Explorers as Huntermasters or hunters. For large events, additional staff are sometimes hired from The Honored Association of Domestics. Similarly, for large events, hosts will use the services of The Hospitality Consortium of Eisen and The Incorporation of Food and Drink Provisioners.
Not everyone who attends the event will actually go Hunting. Some do not wish to and some are not allowed for a variety of reasons. For those not hunting, Hosts will sometimes arrange a member of The Union of Naturalist Professionals to act as a guide for exploratory walks.
