Silas Osterlind is a minor noble of House Osterlind. He has been the director of the Academia Casus 's graduate admissions board for over a decade and he hasn't voted "yes" on a single student in that entire time. The decision for admission to graduate studies is made by a board of five nobles from the college. Obviously many students get in despite it, but they often call him "The Judge" because of his uncompromising stances. He is known as a staunch traditionalist in all senses.
