Bloody Trails

After the events of Horn of Truth, the team began to wind down for the night by going on a quick shopping trip to the curiosity shop in town. On their way back to the Inn afterwards, the team saw a flyer for a townsperson who saw a trail of blood leading into the woods that should be investigated. The team took on the task and were able to find the trail of blood leading a few miles out of town down the nearby road. After following the road into the woods, they saw the trail of blood get thicker and heavier as if a very heavy animal was killed and being dragged through the woods.
Upon getting even closer to the end of the blood trail, the team could feel that they were being watched and could sense a few bodies in the trees near them. Mad called out and demanded for one of them to come out and explain themselves. One of the lurkers did come out but just stood their menacingly and said nothing. Mad began to approach the elf and in response, the elf whistled for the rest of his cohorts to attach the T.U.R.D. Co. members. A fight broke out between the two parties. The T.U.R.D. Co. team were injured (Specifically Dol was almost knocked out during the fight) and they set fire to a few trees and created huge gusts of wind to destroy other trees but were able to kill 3 of the 4 attackers and chased the other one away.
The enemy that they chased away dropped a bag that contained 10 gold and a flyer for a request to bring bear meat back to Hogate and was willing to pay 2 gold per lb of meat. The team saw that the enemies were guarding a bear carcass that they had killed and presumably wanted to sell to that townsperson. After taking some time to butcher the bear into carryable parts, they carried the bear back to town and were given 120 gold per person by the townsperson. He also agreed to Caelum's request to clean the pelt and sell it to him for 15 gold. Caelum agreed to this and said he would return in a few days to pick up the pelt. Afterwards, the team went back to the inn and went to bed.

• Caelum also asked the townsperson to clean the bear hide and let him buy it once it was done which he agreed to sell to Caelum for 15 gold.
