With the dawning of a new age of civilization, cities have become the new hub of humanoid activity. Tribes across all races turn settlements into bustling centers of population and trade. Most often, the highest ranking members of a kingdom or nation, reside in their capital city. It is also usually the most well defended and fortified place to be. Unfortunately, with denser and larger populations, empathy grows scarce, leaving those on the margins of civilization to fend for themselves in the gutter.
Cultures and Architecture
The style and architecture of a city depend on it's cultural origin. For instance, Elven cities are far more in tune with the natural world than most bustling and dense cities built by humans. Dwarves build their cities into mountains and caves, while races like gnomes and half-lings, have no major cities to speak of.
