Officially, Jhaerys Arcadia is the Emperor of the Final Empire. However, he is nine years old. Young Jhaerys takes his role as Emperor seriously, but has never known life outside of the palace. He is aware that his older sister, Rhaella, has designs on his throne. However, he has been shielded by the captain of the guard, Praetor Kallark, his chamberlain, Treville Tarth, and the arch bishop, Rickard Wylde.
It is still too early to determine what kind of leader Jhaerys will be, though he has expressed great interest in the arts and sea travel, he has shown an aptitude for language and is surprisingly adept at political maneuvering for one of his age.
