The Mechanic

In the early days of the Empire, a vast majority of the gnomes and halfings had a growing desire to explore the new lands, however, once they crossed the glittering river, they found a place they could call home. With rich deposits and fertile fields, they had everything they could have wanted in the Ilvin Hills.
The Gnomes took to the hills, while the halflings took the fields. First Gnome King produced thousands of automatons to aid the new kingdom. He created new innovations to aid in agriculture, city planning, and travel; this led to a golden age for the Ilvin people. His innovation and creativity was so great that it led to the belief that the Mechanic is a child of the Grand Sage or possibly the All Hammer. Upon his death, the King ascended and became The Mechanic, so he could forever inspire the gnomes.
Since his ascension, and the eventual subjugation of the gnomes, the Mechanic must be worshipped in secret.
