Hedron Inner Belt

The Hedron inner belt, or inner belt, is a large asteroid belt in the Hedron star system that roughly spans between Tenia and Novis. This asteroid belt is theorized to be the remnants of a massive planet and its moons, which were torn apart by their own gravity. These asteroids are mainly silicate in composition, interspersed with various metals. Several small planeroids exist within this belt, which carry heavier and rarer elements.

Natural Resources

The asteroids of the inner belt are seperated into several classifications based on their spectra, with most falling into C-type (carbonaceous), S-type (silicate), M-type (metal-rich), and D-type (organic-rich). Owing to its hypothesized origins, the inner belt contains large amounts of precious metals and other materials useful for industrial applications. Several of the planetoids in the belt have been turned into industrial space stations, acting not only as refineries, but also as refueling and outfitting docks for mining ships.
