Universal Currency
Universal Currency, more typically called Units, are the official standard currency used across Cradle. Units are a completely electronic currency, and are able to be freely exchanged for any local currencies if needed. Any systems that have joined the Institute of Universal Standards are required to accept units as a currency for all transactions.
History
Units were established after the creation of the first FIT drives, once it was realized that a standard currency would be needed to facilitate trade across different races and stars.
