Redrum City

The nation of Redrum extends into this corner of the Stolen Lands, with its capital city sitting at the very edge of the nation’s border. Redrum itself is relatively safe to travel.   King Castruccio Irovetti does keep the nation safe enough for his citizens, despite the dangers presented by Glenebon and the sinister forest of Thousand Voices

History

Redrum was the domain of Castruccio Irovetti, a petty tyrant who fancied himself a god. Redrum was the name of his region within BloodMoor as well as the name of his capital city. The stolen lands attracts these sorts of deluded megalomaniacs, with the kingdom of Razmiran ruled over by the similarly deluded Razmir.   Under Irovetti, the city of Redrum was filled with trashy art and bad sculpture, created by the masses of enslaved artists and poets that Irovetti maintained to massage his ego. The city suffered under Irovetti's rule, as his arrogant reign has turned the nearby countries of Oteria and Brevoy against him and alienated Redrum from potential sources of trade across the large island.

Economy

Redrum had dealings with the Shalcks' Forge Collective.

Culture

Karn Zuddiger, an author from Redrum, wrote the infamous fairy tale "Zuddiger's Picnic" known across the region West Coast Tesslutut for its connections to murders committed by Zuddiger and the fey that assisted him from the realm of Thousandbreaths. 5

City of Redrum

City Layout   Redrum is divided into three sections.   Troutmouth is the harbor district of Redrum. It includes the docks, various merchant houses, and warehouses.   The Shattered Ward contains many of the oldest buildings in Redrum including various temples and manor houses. Most longtime residents live here.   The New Ruins contains the most recently constructed buildings in Redrum. This part of the city was largely burned to the ground during the civil war that ravaged Redrum approximately one century ago. When Irovetti decided to make the city a beacon of "art" in the River Kingdoms, he concentrated his efforts here. Notable locations include the Academy of the Arts and the Red Crescent Theater.
