Iconian Empire

The Iconian Empire was a vast country, spanning multiple continents. Led by the Icons themselves, starting in the Archeron during the Fourth Age, The Calamity. Only the oldest elves or dragons remember the times from when the Icons ruled over them. Mortals were enslaved not only by the Icons but their own kin, betraying them and joining the forces of the Divine Hollow. They destroyed temples, built grand monuments to the Titans and fed dissidents to the monsters, of which were many under the Icon control. The Iconian Empire was brought down from the inside starting with the Aurelius's rebellion. It was his inspiring courage and determination that rippled in the Empire and allowed many more rebellions to come about. The Icons tried to rebuild the Empire after their first defeat but were unable to do so. Now, it is a horrific reminder of the Fourth Age and the nightmare didn't end. Many fear, that since the Icons can return, that the Empire will be revived once more, even if the Titan Watchers are doing their best to stop it.
