Niffleheim

The subcontinent was found by a man named Takern. This human decided to venture far south, even after hearing that many men didn't survive the trip. In the first eras of the Third Age, Kingdoms, there was no easy way to crack or melt the ice, making all travel to Niffleheim by ground (using sleds or by foot). He was successful and found a land filled with game and Giants. The latter would dispute who "found" it but it was the actions of Takern that brought many settlers to Niffleheim, which means in Giant "The Land of Ice". Today, during the Fifth Age, Current Age, the Giant population is smaller and there are many clans living on this land. It does bring many warriors wanting to test their mettle as the Throne of Esageard is focused mainly here.
