Queen Of Lukase, Nikalan

The queen is in her 80’s, she doesn’t let others pull fast ones over her head, and she’s stubborn and arrogant in her position, which has been earned from years of successful ruling. Her number one rule is to never take anything at face value, and never take help for free.    In her youth the queen was nothing more than a handmaid to the previous princess of Lukase, born to a merchant family, she was sent to learn etiquette and to make friends with the upper echelons of the noblesse. Nikalan, or Kala as she was known in those days, did well. More than well, she was perfect. Somehow she managed to always be in the correct time, on time, always. As a secondary surprise she excelled at hand to hand combat. Time and time again she proved herself in protecting the royal family, in the many wars and conflicts that happened she continued to preserver    The early death of the previous monarch of Lukase brought an opportunity that when her princess wouldn't take up the challenge, Nikalan pounced on it. She was the first in over a hundred years to bring the fruit without the help of others. She did it on her own, through her ferocity and tenacity none questioned her ascension to the throne.   That was 50 years ago, and now she's become frail in her old age. The queen doesn't believe that means she can no longer rule, her personality remains.

The Mantle of Scarabs   The Queen of Lukase wears this when she goes out in public now that it has been recently returned to her.   A beautiful mantle of finely filigreed platinum. It features a thousand tiny scarabs worked intricately with tiny pearlescent wings on Jeweled flowers. Despite being metal the mantle is light and moves much like a piece of fabric.
While attuned and wearing the Mantle of Scarabs creatures gain resistance to necromantic and radiant damage, and advantage on all saving throws. A creature can choose to summon beetle wings from the back of the mantle and gain 25ft of flying speed. When a melee attack is made on a creature wearing the mantle succeeds, once per round the creature can choose to roll 1d6 and minus from the attack, with a change of the success turning into a failure.
