Limtar, Goddess of Death and Decay

Almost like a preventive effort to balance out the abundance of life which Niphena, Goddess of Magic and Iphin, The Earthfather created throughout their time, Limtar emerged into the universe as a counter-part to make sure the cycle of life and creation had an end.
Not even Niphena knows where Limtar came from, or for how long she has been around. Suddenly she was just there and brought with him the death of things.
Limtar had a strong presence in every living creatures life, and she really showed the other gods their immortal nature. Every living thing that Iphin created, later died and returned to Limtar which absorbed their essence. This became a true bane to Iphin's idea and ideals on the Thalaros and the two fell into an open conflict, but no matter how hard Iphin tried to fight his creations always ended up in Limtar's domain.
For the living things that walked the earth, started to fear Limtar and the horrible visage that they depicted her as, a frail old lady with menacing red glowing eyes. She was the only certainty to all their lives, she would claim them all and no one could escape her, no matter how much they tried. However along the other 6 major gods, Limtar would end up in a very isolated state which also made her plan evil on a cosmic level to get back at the other gods shunning her. And she made her realm, her domain, a true place of horror where the living ended up, and the afterlife was a place for damned souls.

Teaching

Limtar's followers however are people that believe in the cycle of life and death, and that in knowing that life has and end makes it beautiful. Most of the followers respect their mortality, understand the balance between life and death and respect the dead in general.
However some more fervernt worshipper takes things to the extreme, and actively partake in rituals of decay and the most devout even believe in that Limtar will bring the end days upon the people of the world. They also believe that the world goes in cycles, and have died many times over in history.

Festival

Some ways of celebrating Limtar include the celebration of first winter day of the year. They celebrate it here due to the act of nature "dying" and entering a cold phase, dropping leaves and losing the glow of green.

Related Gods

Iphin, God of Earth and Nature , the cosmic struggle between the two has been a conflict that ended up in the mortal world as well. Their respective followers are on different ideals of life, and often clash over the nature of life and death.
Thyn, God of Hatred, Limtar and Thyn ends up mentioned in the same areas from time to time, due to the nature of death and decay in general. A lot of hatred blossoms up from the idea of a loved on dying, or something sacred decaying.
Serenth, God of the Afterlife, the first soul to ever pass on to the afterlife was Serenth. And after passing while and Limtar was having her influence on the world, she became the keeper of the afterlife, in the realm of Limtar.
Iglari, Goddess of Torture, entering the world due to intense suffering caused by the decay of living things Iglari and Limtar have a natural relation to each other. Death and torture often go hand in hand, and some followers of both gods uses the words and teachings freely to justify actions.
