Polyphy System
The Polyphy system is a unique and mysterious system that is home to a massive artificial star, known as Polyphy, and two other significant features, the planet Mariakorg and the deep space station Schroeder 3. The latter is shrouded in mystery and there are many theories on who built it and why it is there.
The artificial star, Polyphy, is an enormous construct that is powered by an unknown energy source. It emits intense energy and light, making it a valuable resource for advanced technologies. The origin and purpose of Polyphy remain a mystery, and scientists and explorers are still studying it, trying to unlock its secrets.
The planet Mariakorg is a terrestrial planet, located in the habitable zone of Polyphy. It has a diverse range of environments, from rocky deserts to dense forests and icy tundras. The planet is also home to a variety of life forms, including intelligent alien species.
One of the most significant settlements on Mariakorg is Calaveras Field, a medium-sized colony located in the desert region of the planet. The colony is known for its mining operations, where valuable minerals are extracted from the planet's surface. It's also home to a diverse population of humans and aliens, who have made it their home.
The crew of the "Hard Bargain" is headed to Calaveras Field to deliver goods and trade resources. They are familiar with the colony and its inhabitants, and they're looking forward to exploring the planet and discovering new opportunities.
However, the other significant feature of the Polyphy system is the deep space station, Schroeder 3. The station is shrouded in mystery and it is an enormous construct that orbits the planet Mariakorg. The station is a hub of activity, where ships come and go, transporting goods and people to and from the planet.
Unlike other stations, Schroeder 3 doesn't offer any repair and maintenance facilities, it is more of a transit station, where ships can stop and resupply before continuing their journey. There are no mechanics or technicians to fix or maintain ships. The crew of the "Hard Bargain" will have to perform any maintenance or repairs to their ship before reaching the station or have to wait until they reach their final destination.
