Union of Allied Planets

The Union of Allied Planets or Universal Alliance or Anglo-Sino Alliance, is the central government and law-enforcement organization of the 'Verse. Presently, its jurisdiction and legitimacy became undisputed after the Central Planets of the Anglo-Sino Alliance defeated the Independent Faction in the Unification War, as stipulated in the 2511 armistice Treaty of Surrender.

The current public agenda is overwhelmingly focused on the recovery of the 'Verse from the Unification War. For those on the winning side, it is an establishment of universal power. For those on the losing side, the focus is on reconstruction and full jurisdictional control over the formerly independent worlds into the Alliance political, economic, and social structure.

As of the 2511 Armistice, the entire 'Verse is now under Alliance control. Theoretically. On the practical side...well...that's a mite different tale

The primary worlds of interest are the Core Worlds of the White Sun—principally worlds like Londinium, Sihnon, Osiris, Ariel, Liann Jiun and others.

The Central Planets formed the Alliance. Ruled by an interplanetary parliament, the Alliance was a beacon of civilization. The savage outer planets were not so enlightened and refused Alliance control. The war was devastating, but the Alliance's victory over the Independents ensured a safer universe. And now everyone can enjoy the comfort, and enlightenment of true civilization.
