Divine Domains

War:

Bahamut is the god of Justice and is the bane of all tyrants and evil overlords. He is believed to bless and protect all that wage war in pursuit of toppling tyranny and pursuing justice for all and as such Bahamut has been the god of choice for many war clerics who are of the good Alignment.

Order, Justice:

Despite hating tyranny, Bahamut is the sworn patron of many sovereigns and kings. Should a king be an ally of justice, he shall shine his light upon them and lead them in their life and granting them wisdom.

Solidarity, Dutiful, Zeal:

Throughout his crusades Bahamut knows his followers will die in battle and he weeps for every soul lost. However, they die for the greater purpose of justice and future peace. Through their sacrifice evil will be quelled and justice will reign.

Life:

Bahamut, overall is a kind god and as such is one who cares greatly for his followers. He holds that life is a great gift and to take it from one is one of the highest injustices one can commit.

Truth:

Bahamut is a god of justice and justice is nothing without truth. He wishes his followers to be truthful and honest, as that is what any good sovereign must be. Those who trick, lie and deceive have no place among followers of bahamut.

The Word of Guidance

Written by Saint Therien, the book details lessons that one should live by in service to bahamut. There is also a section called the chapter of wanders where it follows Bahamut in human form as he wanders from town to town. The overall message is one of love and nobility. The final chapter is a call to action for its followers to combat injustice wherever it may occur.

Day of Proclamation:

12th of the Month of Winds

The day in which Saint Therian wrote the Word of Guidance under the Influence of Bahamut Time is spent in contemplation of the Word of Guidance and reaffirming oneself to the tenants of Bahamut.

Feast of Embers:

13th & 14th of the Month of Sunlight

Celebration of Bahamut's holy fire which burns in all his followers. Large feasts take place with plenty of meat and drink. The festival lasts until the morning of the 14th after which the followers spend the day resting.

Day of Our Liberation:

The 15th of the Month of Nights

The day in which Bahamut was said to be born. The exchange of gifts and large feasts are held on this day.

Divine Goals & Aspirations

Bahamut believes that all nations should be united under a strong king who rules with kindness and empathy. Those that rule over others must be fair and just in their actions, and decadent rulers of greed, sloth, and cruelty are among his most hated of creatures. He seeks to lead his followers to war against any tyrants that may arise and attempt to oppress and rule with hatred or malice.

The gods which Bahamut finds himself most at odds with are Asmodeus, the lord of the nine hells, and Tiamat the Goddess of greed and queen of the Chromatic dragons. Both represent that which he hates most, the corrupt and evil. He aspires to bring their downfall and remove them from the pantheon. His followers often do battle with the followers of these gods.
