Pyre Obsidian

Description

An opalescent stone that originates from the Elemental Plane of Fire. It is warm to the touch, and contains enough raw fire elemental energy to keep an entire village warm even in the harshest winter.

Usage

Trying to force a Pyre Obsidian to cooperate with a mage is a tall order, since the gem seems to have a resistance to unnatural or sudden flows of magic. However, by mimicking the way the leylines transfer aether throughout the planes, a kind of conduit system can be woven to redirect the elemental energy from within the stone in a more natural way.
