The Creation of Everything
At the precipice of time itself, when there was nothing but a void and a single ball of pure, aetheric energy, the very first celestial being came into existence, a Celestial Spider by the name of Aranarea. The spider, radiating with the raw power of creation, spun a great web from an aetheric thread that stretched endlessly across the void. At the intersections of this web, entire universes came into being, and upon it's completion, the weight of the web rushed towards the center, causing an explosion that sent strands of aether rocketing into the cosmos.
At the center of the Celestial Web, born from the explosion, was Salutra, a Celestial Otter, and the first consciousness of many that would form from Aranarea's Celestial Thread. After understanding the possibilities of what the thread was capable of, and feeling her body being torn in four different directions as the elemental energy began to separate and diversify, Aranarea wove new aetheric beings from the Celestial Thread to help contain the pure elemental energy that was leaking forth into the void, and to help her manage and oversee the new universes that had been created.
In total, eighteen more beings of pure aether were woven from the Celestial Thread, sixteen of which were infused with the power of an element. Four Celestial Animals each for four elements were created, each with a specific purpose to assist in managing the distribution and maintenance of these elemental energies throughout the cosmos. The remaining four Celestial Animals, beings aligned to the element of aether itself, assisted the others in their task, and attended to their own unique purposes, as well.
But, off in the deepest reaches of the void...
Unbound by the orderly duties of Aranarea and the other Celestial Animals, another being of pure aether was born from the strands of aetheric thread that were catapulted into the depths of space. Zamian, who would come to be known as the First Inciter, caused chaos along the Celestial Web for his own amusement. Quickly becoming lonely, he wove together four elemental beings, and together the five of them became known as the Inciters, causing havoc across the cosmos, messing with the natural order, and threatening the entirety of the multiverse in the process.
