The Children of Luralon, also known as the Aethyron, are the pantheon of six primary deities (or deified aspects, depending on regional and temporal orthodoxies) who are associated with the creator goddess,
Luralon. This ancient godhead was widely recognized and worshipped throughout the mortal realms, during the Age of Aether. During the global hegemonic reign of the Ottriban Empire (66 PL - 637 PL), the primacy of this pantheon was enshrined in official state religion, with Luria, the godess of life and light given primacy of place as "First Born Among the Gods." According to adherents of the faith, the six primary deities represent and embody the fundamental forces that shape the Realms of the Real.
The Aethyron
Luria
Goddess of Life and Light - "First Born among the Gods"
Luria, the Goddess of Life and Light, is the eldest and most honored member of the Children of Luralon. She is believed to be the divine aspect of life and renewal, providing healing and protection to her worshippers. She is often depicted as a winged figure in white robes carrying a staff which harnesses the energy of stars. According to her adherents, the power of Luria's loving light binds together all life in the universe. As the prime diety of the Ottriban Empire, her worship was state-mandated and widely followed throughout the Realms of Luralon.
Wodohr
God of Nature and Growth
Wodohr, the God of Nature and Growth is the divine gardener of Luralon. Frequently depicted as a large bearded god wearing robes of lush flora, "The Greenfather" is closely associated with the natural elements and is believed to be the divine steward of the bounty of Luralon. Adherents of the faith believe he is the source of fertility and sustenance. While his cult has been in decline since the Ottriban Empire's fall, Wodohr is still widely worshipped in rural areas and during harvest seasons.
Dorus
Goddess of Dreams and Consciousness
Dorus, the Goddess of Dreams and Consciousness is a mysterious figure who is rarely depicted in official iconography. Dorus is thought to be the guardian of the spiritual realm and of the inner-self. Her dreamscapes, which some followers claim to have experienced, are believed to provide access to realms of higher understanding. She is often associated with the ancient practice of lucid dreaming, and is believed to have an intimate connection with the subconscious. Her cult following is considered to be relatively small and secretive by the standards of Luralon.
Telene
Goddess of Order and Preservation
Telene, the Goddess of Order and Preservation is the divine champion commonly associated with the law and the stability of the social order. She is most frequently depicted as an armored figure wielding a shield and a spear, signifying her connection to justice and protection. Since the fall of Ottriban, Telenism is on the ascendency as the prime deity of the Empire of Corcelle.
Xircyl
God of Entropy and Chaos
Xircyl, God of Entropy and Chaos is the divine counterpart of Telene, and is widely associated with the forces of destruction, decay, and entropy. He is believed to be the embodiment of the destructive aspects of the universe, and is often depicted as a horned bestial deity wielding a torch and flaming whip. Xircyist Cultists are widely believed to have instigated the Godsrealm Wars that led to the destruction of ancient civilization and the end of the Age of Aether, in the wake of Luria's Beholding.
Ildir
God of Night and Darkness
Ildir, God of Night and Darkness is the deity of shadows, death, and the underworld. His cult is believed to be quite small, and Ildiric worship is generally considered to be taboo throughout Luralon. Ildir is purported to have influence over the supernatural forces of the afterlife, and his adherents claim that he can grant power over death itself, though such assertions remain unsubstantiated.
Interesting set of pantheon characters with nice touches of the faith or practices of followers.
