Personal history
Born to a wealthy ventese merchant and his wife, Alessia grew up travelling between the Confederacy of Ventuça and the Holy Chosen Empire. Her father transported many goods between the two nations and commanded respect in both. From a young age, Alessia learned the tricks of the trade.
After a failed business deal with a prominent Chosen noble, her father and mother were arrested by Chosen guards on charges of open apostacy and witchcraft with malign intent. Soon after, the two were executed. Alessia, young as she was fled the realm and returned to Ventuça to live with family.
Alessia never truly recovered from the ordeal, she became extremely rebellious and grew a particular dislike for the chosen. Unable to control her, she was removed from the household of her family to fend for her own.
During the next few years she travelled the eastern parts of the world on ships, working as an escort girl. Her charisma, Ventese flair and business ethics help her tremendously during these times.
Eventually she ended up in employement of Lenny McGruffins who used her to extort rivals and gather information.

Alessia was taught by her parents. From them she learned to read and write, business practices and etiquette.
