So named for its reliance on optical switches and chemically doped glass substrate, optronics forms the backbone of space-age technology, packing orders of magnitude more processing power into smaller spaces with almost no waste heat. Most heavily used by the Interstellar Consortium in the production of consumer products, aerospace tech, and holographic interfaces.
