Oru
An older furkin (bearlike) man and current owner of Drakar’s Hearth, the founding inn that the town gets its name from. Although the Hearth has no “leader”, as the owner of the inn, people look to him for guidance, given the town’s history.
Where most folk on the frontier are suspicious of strangers, Oru honors the tradition that led to the foundation of Drakar’s Hearth and gives people a fair chance with drink and hospitality. He seeks peace above everything, but he knows that life is hard on the frontier and is not an idealist.
He has a son, Ora.
