Border Keep Guarding The Northern Mouth Into Dain | Lord Theryn

Dainmouth Keep sits astride theAuram River and Dain Lake at the northern edge of Auredain. The local holder is Shield-Lord Reldas Theryn, an Auredani knight who served the actual holder well as a household bannerman. The keep was once the most northern fortification in the Kingdom of Auredain but that prestige has been 'stolen' by an upstart gentry at Dyramar Keep. Even so, the keep and its garrison are kept busy with the northern hills and ranges that shield and protect foul things within their nooks and crannies.

Purpose / Function

Dainmouth Keep was erected as the furthest northern fortification to watch over the Auram River as it flows into Dain Lake. The keep was raised by the Crown but was handed over to the local nobility. The Warden of the Keep, Shield-Lord Reldas Theryn, was appointed to the stewardship of the keep and keeping an eye on where the Auran River spills into Dain Lake.
