Ilaern

At A Glance

East of the lands of the Approach, the Kingdom of ILAERN lies in the same precarious position as Auredain. Its northern border rests along the same wilds and lost lands and it bears the brunt, as Auredain does, of the violence and depravity of the fiends in the shattered lands of the old Over-Kingdom of Aendor. The Kingdom of Ilaern lies primarily in the region known as the PERIPHERY OF MAN although it has some fiefs in the APPROACH as well as the REMNANT THRONES regions.

Another survivor of the mass exodus resulting from the Taking, Ilaern has held its borders and even expanded some in the century since that dark time. Ilaern is ruled by a Shaelovanni royal family descended from Aendorian nobility. A majority of its noble lines are also Shaelovanni with many half-blooded descendants as marriage between Man and the Shadow Elven is more prevalent than in other areas.
