The VHYKORAN people take their name from their home--the great city-state, Vhykora. They are a cosmopolitan people with a reputation for untrustworthiness and deftness with the truth. Whether this is warranted or not, it was present even before their home was dubbed one of the TRAITOR CITIES. The Vhykorans are considered fine mariners and explorers with a history that is marked by voyages, adventures and trickery---some would even say piracy but not in the presence of one.

Major language groups and dialects
The VHYKORAN people, hailing as they do from a small geographical range, speak Bahura which is believed to originate from the Lands of Ash to the south. There are dialects that have evolved amongst the various strata of society within the city and out amongst the rural populations. These differences serve more to expose one's upbringing than actually hinder communication between two speakers of Bahuran.
