Malice
Malice, one of the four primary heads of the Ashen Pantheon, is the god of darkness, death, and pain. Formed with Thios as brothers, he stood side by side with Thios up until The Rupture. As the Grand Age brought with it death, valor, and legends the two brothers split. While Thios demanded to protect the mortals from the horrors and violence, Malice believed it woudl strengthen those who remained and lived to tell the tales. Some records of the siege of Polare before the The Cracking say they saw a figure shrouded in darkness beyond the walls, watching as hordes rammed against the ramparts. His sigil is a crescent moon.
Not much is known of Malice during The Broken Age, but The Barren Age has brought with it loyal followers, believing themselves to be the phoenix Malice argued would rise from the ashes of death. Many villages hold a shrine to Malice in the hopes they may be numbered among the strong able to withstand the horrors beyond the light.
Followers and the devoted believe in strength, cunning, and the beauty of death and pain.
