Human

Humans are the most common people in Altus. They are very diverse and can be found in almost every enviorment. Their average lifespan is around 80 years but if there is a mix of bloodlines with other species they can live even longer. Humans are characterized by their stamina and adaptibility.
It is believed that humans arose from vestiges of power of The Fulcra that was left on Altus when The Fulcra banished The Fallen to The Circles Below through The Mortal Realm. Some of those who worship The Fulcra believe humans are the connection to The Hallows Above. Of course, this belief creates many different ideals and worldviews about humans. Are they to be revered or reviled? Feared or worshipped?
Their bodies are built to adapt and acclimate, whether or not this was by divine design or chance, I don't know. While most other peoples are made for a particular enviorment, humans seem to be made for any situation thrown at them. Take, for example, a faun: with their powerful hooves and thick fur, they are the masters of high peaks and snowy mountaintops. But should one be taken to desert sand dunes, they very well may die. A human may traverse either through nothing but willpower.
