The Forgotten

The Forgotten are exactly what the name implies, forgotten. They were the first children of The Ourvorax, and the first inhabitants of The Hallows Above, which was the only Astrum during The Forgottens's time. Perhaps "time" is not the correct word here considering that linear moments behave differently in other Astrums. Now, The Forgotten are no longer sentient, and their will only exists through the natural world.
Apparently, The Forgotten were violent and barbaric, but I'm not sure. Religious leaders tend to exaggerate the faults of others to justify their place. The Arxi were born from The Ourvorax and overpowered The Forgotten. The Forgotten fell from The Hallows Above into the abyss below.

The Fading

The Forgotten found themselves in The Mortal Realm and the world we now call Altus. Whether or not this world was created by The Forgotten's wishes to avoid extinction, or The Arxi's attempt at creating a cage, we are not sure. Not long after the Mortal Realm was created, the other Astrums were as well: The Elementa, The Ferfatum, The Umbrafose, and many others. I'm not even sure we've recorded how many Astrums there are and we don't even know if they all came from The Forgotten's cries for help, from The Arxi or The Ourvorax.
Of course, The Forgotten wanted to return to their home, so they expended most of their power to try. The more power they spent, the more The Mortal Realm grew. Their power was limited because they were seperated from The Hallows Above. It is said that there were many great battles between The Arxi and The Forgotten, but after one of their own was struck down, perhaps in The Arch Sea, The Forgotten relinquished the war. They cultivated The Mortal Realm until the Liberi came to be, and then The Forgotten faded into the aspects of the world they nurtured, no longer having consciousness only instinct. Some say if we listen to the world around us, we can hear The Forgotten snoring in their slumber.

The Common Perspective

Most people don't know the history between the Forgotten and The Arxi, the just believe nature is a force to be reckoned with. Some people believe we should reject the natural world and we should strive to be like The Fulcra or The Fallen. Others think we should embrace the natural world, whether that be because of The Forgottten or they just want to preserve the nature.
