The Dry Season

Arad, one of the hottest and driest lands in the world, is subject to a dry season for half the year. Though rain may still water the earth in those six months, it is an almost entirely miraculous occurrence. The sun is rarely obscured by clouds and its full heat bears down on the land, with the Meleatte River running at its weakest during the height of this season. With the majority of crop harvests done, however, new seeds are planted as farmers await the arrival of the Wet Season.
